Why coaching becomes more and more useful for business?

Coaching appeared in Russia in the end of 90s- beginning of 2000.  Since that time twenty years have passed and the attitude of people to it has been changed in our country. All started with a fanatical cult and giving to coaching a role of treatment from all the deceases and also consequent to it growth of fake coaches. However, now we gradually but surely came to realization of necessity to certify the profession, work out its standards and programs of teaching it.    

Speaking about global changes you should start with the fact that according to data from International Federation of coaching, during the last years the number of members of this organization increased in 50 %, and the volume of market in USA and Europe is measured by millions of dollars. Meanwhile, not only the market changes, but also the sense of work of coaches and business trainers.  

If earlier coaching “cured” business, and then It was considered as a prestigious service, then now this fundamental instrument of tuning and development. In other words, people apply to coaching not only when business “becomes ill”, but on a regular basics or even have a specialist among their staff of their organization. Here in a perfect analogy could be made with doctors. When does a person go to a doctor? Right you are, when he has some pain. And when does a person, who cares about his health, go to a doctor? He goes to him on a regular basics, not depending on pain. To be on a safe side in order to keep himself in tonus and prevent all possible unpleasant situations at the stage of their appearance. The same Is in business.  

Besides coaching allows to have a look at yourself from aside and to understand what could be corrected and how, its existence and widespread during our days have another reason.  Life span of people is constantly growing, so the duration of a labor life also grows. People want to change careers, try something new.  Also, the attitude to their work has been changed. In advanced civilized countries work is not only the source of money, work is also a goal, passion, desire, sometimes the life deal. Moreover, management in many companies often moves from strict administrative hierarchy to more democratic and flexible management forms. And chiefs are expected innovational approach and inventiveness. Coaching helps in development flexible skills, emotional intellect, networking and ability to work in a team.
