Criteria of team effectiveness

People – are the main business asset. If their team activity is presupposed, then in reality they could be effective in the form of a team. A team is something more than just a unique organism. Such popular formats of management as of today, as projects, agile, networking, are based on team cooperation and team values. And what are the criteria of team effectiveness?  

  • Unique meaning-oriented space: goals, values, vision. Integration on ideological, mental levels has proved its safeness in the example of modern business flagman:   Google, IKEA, Toyota.
  • Coincidence of personnel and general concernment in the results. Team members have an attitude to its cooperation as to something more than just work. It becomes for them just an internal demand.
  • Psychological compatibility: team members communicate and work mutually with pleasure, naturally and without any force. It is interesting and pleasant for them to deal with each other.
  • Equality basing on general principles and rules. Even a team leader acts not as a “standard head”, but as “the first among equal”. He differs from rankers not only by a certain volume of managing responsibilities, but also by the volume of responsibility for common results.  

Strict division of labor, functional responsibilities and local zones of responsibility. Every team member is an expert in his sphere and he realizes it as a realization sphere of his individual investment into a common cause.
