Criteria of team effectiveness

People are the main asset of a business. If their collective activity is supposed, then they can be truly effective in the form of a team. The team is already something more than just a mechanically assembled set. It is, in essence, a single organism. Such popular management formats as projects, agile, networking are based on team interaction and team values. What are the criteria for team effectiveness?

  • Single sense-target space: purpose, values, vision. Integration on ideological, mental damage has proven its reliability on the example of the flagships of modern business: Google, IKEA, Toyota.
  • The coincidence of personal and general interest in the results. Team members view their interactions as more than just work. For them, it becomes an internal need.
  • Psychological Compatibility: Team members communicate and work together with pleasure, naturally and without any coercion. They find it interesting and pleasant to deal with each other.
  • Equality based on general principles and rules. Even the team leader acts not as a standard “boss”, but as “the first among equals”. He differs from ordinary team members not only in a certain amount of managerial powers, but also in the amount of responsibility for overall results.

A clear division of labor, functional duties and local areas of responsibility. Each team member is an expert in his field and realizes it as an area for realizing his individual contribution to the common cause.
